Visiting Orange County

I told my mother last night that I did not want to visit Orange County to see my cousins and she flipped. She had mentioned the her aunt and uncle were old and this maybe the last time we get to see them. She also mentioned that the cousins helped out when I was out of work for so long which they did. I just do not find it enjoyable driving all that distance and then come back the next day. I also do not find it enjoyable seeing all there homes in Laguna Beach. They have all worked hard and deserve these homes but since I want to move back it is hard to see some people doing so well if you know what I mean. To me it is not fun driving around to homes that I could never afford to have. If I was going down there for an interview or going down there to live again then I would enjoy it. It is just hard to go back to some place that I want to live again only to know that I will be driving right back to wonderful Bakersfield.

Why God?

I keep being told by Michael that the reason I am not able to leave Bakersfield is that God still has some thing for me in Bakersfield. Maybe this is true but I for one hate Bakersfield and wish that I had never moved here. Life has sucked since moving here and I am sorry that I ever did. Moving back is a pain in the ass as once you get here it is almost impossible to leave. I hear one skit on the radio that mentions to others not to stop in Bakersfield as once you do you will not be able to leave and this is so true at least for some like me. I hate the weather here and I hate the smog. I basically hate every thing about this town and want to move. I know one thing that God could do for me is help me get out of Bakersfield. Other then this I do not think that I want any thing to happen to me in Bakersfield as I do not want to stay any longer then I need to. I have been here 10 years already and that is 10 years to long.

My mother

My mother actually found a good doctor. She has to pay him but only had to pay $25 for the visit which is less then she was being charged by the want to be doctor. She also got her prescriptions filled for 5 months. Much better then those crooks at the other place. At least now she has some one that she can trust.

Good times with SF

When I first started with SF the upper management actually cared about it's employees. I had applied there a few years earlier but was given a letter that they found two other qualified candidates. I went to work for Martin Marietta who was running the Orange County Data Center at the time. I became unhappy when my supervisor left for another position and they had another supervisor review me even though he knew nothing about me. It took a few more months for me to get my raise and I started looking else where. I had the interview with SF and this time made it past the interview with HR. I do not remember how many people were in my second interview but I believe that it was close to 10. Well I did get hired this time and the two people they had previously hired were no longer working there. I knew both of them from school and I would not consider them more qualified but who am I? One of them lived in the same apartment complex as me until he did not pay his rent for many months and was finally kicked out. When they put him on third he stayed for a week and then left the company. The other one was supposedly suing SF for what I never found out. I started out on third shift bursting and making deliveries so basically I started out at the bottom again and had to work my way back up again. I did not mind though as I was new and had not worked on the IBM system they had. The Manager would come in the morning and actually walk through the computer room saying hi to every one. He would also pick up rubber bands as third shift loved to have rubber band wars. I moved over to the HP system and was given two weeks training before I was given the shift by myself. I was not an expert but I love learning this way. I learn much more if you teach me and then just drop me into the job. Things were good until the Manager decided to retire. After that things went down hill and they brought 3 people in to do the job that he was doing.

SF Sucks

You may wonder why I can state this. I worked for them for almost 12 years. I started with them when they actually cared about there employees. I left when they no longer cared about any one. They make decisions and do not go back on those no matter how it hurts those that work for them. I realize that companies need to earn money. I also know that with agents SF has to make a lot more money to pay off these agents. Why they still have agents is beyond me but some thing they feel they need. I myself think that it is hurting there business as when you call for a quote it is much more expensive then you can get else where. I will go into details about what happened with me and many others at SF. I will also go into details about why I feel that I should have never worked for them in the first place but we all make mistakes and wish that we could take them back but we can not. I am writing this mainly because I am sick and tired of holding onto this and want to release it. Well to release it I need to get it out there for more people then just my former co-workers so the next few weeks I will post a little bit when I can get around to it and let you all decide for yourselves if SF actually sucks or not.

Why do doctors?

Why do doctors think they can just push pills down your throat? Why do we have to be the ginny pigs for the drug companies experiements? Why do people call themselves doctors when they are working off another doctors license? My mother has gone to this medical facility and always ask to see Dr. Helston who is a doctor and instead gets to see Dr. Ortiz who is not a doctor but working off of Dr. Helstons license. He has even told Dr. Helston to retire but let him continue working off his license. He likes to push pills on people wether they want them or not. He also refuses to renew prescriptions even if it is critical prescriptions unless they come in every month. My mom has been taking the same stuff for over 30 years but he knows better then her. He just writes the same things that she is already taking and does nothing other then take her $55 every visit. He does not care about her only her money. These are doctors that need to be stayed away from but since they see poor people you can not avoid them. I wish that some one would tell this want to be doctor that he can not practice medicine any longer. This is what I would like to see happen. It is people like this that give doctors a bad name. Luckily she was given a name of another doctor who should be better for her and I will be glad when she does not have to see Dr. Ortiz any more. What a waste he is.
